A COLOURFUL TREND
Fun and jazzy, the new Capri Jelly Bags really brighten things up

All colours of the rainbow, practical, affordable. This summer we have seen women carrying them in fashionable cities and beach resorts. They are inspired by models that have made fashion history, iconic accessories destined for the few but which can now be had by everyone, thanks to a new material: glassgum, a rubbery PVC with a satin finish that is largely the secret of their success. On this island they are called Capri Jelly Bags and at Asperula Stellina you can find them in all shapes and sizes and a host of different colours to suit all tastes: shades of white, pastels and vivid hues. Recently the solid colour has been combined with new textures, and subtle views inspired by the gouaches of the nineteenth-century vedutisti or amusing graffiti that draw their inspiration from some of Capri’s most famous places – the Zum Kater Hidigeigei, Charterhouse of San Giacomo, Blue Grotto, Via Camerelle and Quisisana Hotel – have been printed on the glassgum. Three new and exclusive models have been designed for the Capri City label: a handbag with exquisitely simple lines; a useful shoulder-bag; and “Marta”, a large “prêt-apartir” holdall. The colours? Also in this new collection there are just too many to choose from!

Colorate, pratiche, accessibili. Quest’estate le abbiamo viste al braccio delle donne nelle città e nelle località di mare alla moda. Ricordano modelli che hanno fatto la storia della moda, accessori simbolo destinati a poche resi alla portata di tutte nel nuovo materiale: il glassgum, un pvc gommoso e satinato, che ne ha decretato il successo. A Capri sono state ribattezzate Capri Jelly Bags e da Asperula Stellina si trovano in varie misure e in una palette di colori per tutti i gusti, bianche, pastello o nei colori più accesi. Alla tinta unita si sono da poco affiancate delle nuove texture e il glassgum è diventato il materiale dove stampare divertenti grafiti che richiamano ai luoghi simbolo dell’isola, lo Zum Kater Hidigeigei, la Certosa, la Grotta Azzurra, via Camerelle e il Quisisana, o delicate vedute che si rifanno alle gouaches dei vedutisti dell’Ottocento. Con il marchio Capri City sono state realizzati in glassgum anche tre nuovi ed esclusivi modelli: una hand-bag semplice nelle linee, una comoda shoulder da portare sottobraccio e Marta, una grande sacca “pret a partir”. Anche nella nuova collezione per i colori non c’è che l’imbarazzo della scelta.
